I just finnished putting my new VCS shock on my stock rear deck. I had to cut away most of the deck. I changed the antenna mount to behind the servo. I used a generic antenna mount to mount the Ti antenna. The ball cups that came with the shock were a little too big for the stock mounts. I used some that I had spare. I am using the black spring and 20wt oil. I haven't raced it yet, so I don't know how much it will help. I sure looks cool tho. I am using an ARM chassis and I have not been using any rear shock with good success. I wanted to use the VCS more as a dampener. The spring will probably come off. Right now I have the presets of the spring to be 2-3mm loose, basically acting as a dual rate spring (chassis for 2-3mm and spring the rest of the way).

This is a detail of how the ESC and reciever are mounted:
Note that the belt is rubbing a little bit on the ESC plug on the receiver. The belt doesn't rub any more than it does on the chassis.
